In my mailbox (#4)
Hello my pretty blue piggies, today's post is a "In my mailbox" which is hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren. Go check it out and leave links to your post in the comment section below. I'd love to see what goodies you got/received this week.
This week was an exciting week for me! I was able to get all the books I've been dying to read. Remember Jessica Rules the Darkside? And how I couldn't find it, which really pissed me off? I FOUND IT! This book comes with a story ^.^
The story: The Chapters near my house had no copies of Jessica Rules the Darkside, so when my boyfriends mom took me to one a little further away from my place, I sprang at the opportunity to search and acquire that book. Well, I'm looking around. I check the computer. "Ah, they have six copies. Fantastic." My ass... My boyfriend, mom, and I looked EVERYWHERE! And you know what irritated me the most about this? There was no one around to ask for help. No one. Urgh! Well finally my mom found someone and they checked the back. Turns out they hadn't yet brought them out to display. Also turns out the book isn't officially released until January 10th 2012. In the end I got my book, and now I'm a happy piggy with my 'advanve' copy ^.^
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Magic of the moonlight by Ellen Schreiber
Jessica Rules the Darkside by Beth Fantaskey
My boyfriends mommy purchased these books for me. It was a late Christmas present since she didn't have the money before Christmas. Thank you Angela! (She has the same name as me ^.^)
Well that's all I got. What about you? Got anything you've been longing to read?
Irritation, books, mailboxes,
Angela

ReplyDeleteYes yes, I got City of Bones. I thought it was about time I picked it up. I think I am going to read it thise month. If I like it (which I should) then I'll pick up the second one. I've heard nothing but great things about it ^.^
ReplyDeleteMy BF's mom is great! She is a complete bookworm like me! We always swamp books and tell eachother what we've read. It's so much fun! It completly annoys my BF, but that's only because he's a gamer not a reader, lol. Her name is Angela too, which is kind of funny. We both love books, reading, writing, have the same name, similar tasts... it's so weird, lol.
Lucky you! Those are some great books, especially City of Bones. I hope you enjoy reading them all. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.

I just got Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side as an ebook. I've heard so many times that it's really fun, and sometimes you just need a good fun book to break a reading slump, so I'm saving it for then.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!

ReplyDeleteThe only books I've read by Cassandra Clare are the infernal devices books. I thought it was about time I read the mortal instruments. See what all the hype is about ^.^
