Follow me Friday (#5)

This is a weekly meme hosted by alisoncanread.com and parajunkee.com so check them out and follow along!

Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

A: Hmm, this is kind of a tough one. My favorite book series (because I don't have a favorite book but series) is Meg Cabot's The Mediator series. Seriously it's amazing! I'm pretty sure I could read it over and over and still fall in love with Jesse every single time. I don't care if he's a ghost, if he's technically like 100 years old, I'll keep on loving him.

But we than run into the trouble of becoming bored. Honestly, I think I would become bored, despite being my favorite series. So really, as much as I love Jesse, I must say I'd go with reading 100s of mediocre books.

Why? Because I can always find something in a mediocre book I love. Which then doesn't really classify it as mediocre, but still. I can't seem to hate very many books. In all the books I've read there are only 2 books I can't stand to read. Otherwise, I love every single one of the books I've read.

All in all, I'd read 100s of mediocre books. I prefer a variety in books over none.

How about you?

P.S I've reached over 350 followers! You know what that means, a second place winner has been added. If by the end of February we reach 450 followers I will add a third winner! How exciting, right?

Also I wanted to add, I will be getting back into my habit of reading manga. If you're a manga lover, you're in for a treat, because The Little Blue Pig will now be reviewing mangas!

So stay tuned!

  1. Hello, new follower here! :)

I so totally agree withyou. I hate boredom. I hate it to the point I'm not sure how it actually feels to be bored - I always find something new to do. And of course, in every mediocre book you can find something to like! As I said in my answer to this question - sometimes in a pile of something mediocre you can find a real gem.

  7. I really agree with you for the same reasons. I would hate to get bored of my favourite books and so I'd easily choose 100s of different, but less enjoyable, books.

  11. Sometime we have to read a mediocre one to add something new to our readings, I found them by accident in the process to try new series. Well, certainly it happens to all of us.
